Modern Exterior
ACM Facade Cladding Elevates Elderwood Drive Toronto Multi-Family Project
Design Goals
- Architect required materials that would contrast with light natural stone
- Needed smooth, consistent finishes that didn’t compete with masonry textures
- Durability and design flexibility were critical—no warping, cracking, or ongoing repairs
- The cladding system needed to complement the masonry visually and structurally—while also future-proofing the facade for Toronto’s climate.
Our Solution
- Modern Material Pairing: Charcoal ALUBOND ACM panels were used to bring contrast, structure, and clean geometry next to pale stonework.
- Fluted WPC Accents: IPE Brazilian-toned fluted panels softened the look, adding warmth and vertical texture without distracting from the overall form.
- Precision Integration: All panel transitions were coordinated with masonry joints, preserving clean lines and weather integrity while elevating the facade’s presence.
Results
- A contemporary facade that stands out against traditional finishes in the area
- Architecturally cohesive finish that met the designer’s vision without compromise
- Zero maintenance required to preserve smooth surface and dark-toned color depth
- Durable envelope that withstands Toronto’s freeze-thaw cycles and UV exposure
