Modern Exterior
Black and Bronze ACM Create Bold Contrast for Etobicoke Custom Home
Design Goals
- Use dark materials to provide contrast against the lighter upper sections
- Highlight the bronze second-floor feature by anchoring the first floor in black
- Add natural tones with low-maintenance wood-look siding
Our Solution
- Black ACM Panels: Installed around the front canopy and ground floor to establish contrast and frame the main entrance
- Bronze ACM: Used above the black panels to bring variation in tone and make the upper volume feel distinct
- Dark Antique Oak Aluminum Siding: Placed around key window sections and vertical breaks to soften the darker tones and add visual balance
Results
- The black panels on the first floor help define the entrance and make the upper levels feel lighter
- The bronze and oak finishes add warmth and help the house feel more welcoming
- The mix of materials gives the home a bold, modern look that still fits into the neighborhood
Project Overview
This custom home in Etobicoke has a modern look with dark finishes on the lower level and warmer accents above. We installed black ACM panels around the front canopy and ground floor to frame the entrance and work with the dark brick. Bronze panels were added on the second floor to bring in a bit of color, and wood-look siding was used near the windows and entry to make the exterior feel more welcoming.
